ASAI term of office 2014-2019 is a period of structuring. This period is more focused on structuring which includes institutions, membership and networks:
1. Institution Structuring
As a newly established institution, there are several things that need to be organised, which include aspects of ASAI's legality arrangement, membership administration arrangement, and financial administration. ASAI's legality arrangement is the most important part so that the institution is formally recognised. The most important aspect of legality to be realised is a notary deed. The second aspect is membership administration, which will be realised by issuing membership cards to all ASAI members. The rest of this membership will be regulated in the bylaws along with financial administration arrangements. For this reason, membership fees are needed.
2. Member Consolidation
This member consolidation programme is oriented to record ASAI members in terms of their scientific and research interests. The data collected is used as material to consolidate between members in various research collaborations and publications. Membership data collection will be carried out through the registration form to become an ASAI member.
3. Human Resource Development & Academic Development
The ASAI member human resource development programme aims to improve members' capacity in research and publication through various training courses, workshops and other capacity building activities. Meanwhile, academic development is more oriented towards developing the Religious Studies Study Programme curriculum to align with the latest policies from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
4. Network Development & Cooperation
The Network and Cooperation Development Programme aims to establish as many ASAI partners as possible, both with overseas and domestic institutions. It is hoped that this programme will introduce ASAI to the academic community initially and eventually to the global community, enabling ASAI to contribute widely.
5. Quality Improvement of Comparative Religion (PA)/Religious Studies (SAA) Study Program
This programme is aimed at improving the quality of the SAA Study Programme, particularly its accreditation from BAN-PT, through various activities such as training and mentoring. This programme is considered important because, although ASAI is not a study programme association, it still has a responsibility to contribute to the future of religious studies programmes so that they can continue to exist and benefit society.
